Rod magnets have a classic cylindrical design that many of us remember from school. Axially magnetised rod magnets have their north and south pole “on the top and on the bottom”, similar to a compass needle. A rod magnet does not have adhesive force in the middle. Even small neodymium rod magnets feature a very high adhesive force, but can be easily separated thanks to their thin frame.
